DESCRIPTION:Please join us in remembering Lama Rinpoche’s great kindness and blessings.\n  \nSchedule: \n8:15 am | Lighting of Butter Lamps\n9:00 am | Chanting of the Guru Yoga of Milarepa followed by\nCalling the Lama from Afar (Lama Jangbu)\n12:00 noon | Vegetarian Lunch\n2:00 pm | Chanting of Amitabha with Feast Offering (Tsok)\n\n \n  \n  \nMilarepa is the most beloved yogi and poet of Tibet and one of the forefathers of the Kagyu lineage revered for his inspirational life story and profound songs of realization. The Guru Yoga of Milarepa is an essential practice of the Kagyu lineage in which the transmission of devotion becomes the basis of Mahamudra. \nAmitabha\, the Buddha of Boundless Light\, vowed to lead all beings to his pure realm of bliss\, Dewachen (Sukhavati). \nThe practice of Jangchok performed for the benefit of the deceased will be included within the chanting of the Amitabha sadhana. You may provide us with names of the deceased for dedication and these names will be included within the chanting. To make these dedications\, please download the Amitabha Sadhana Dedication form. \nAll are welcome to join in the day’s observances. Texts in English and Chinese will be available for Calling the Lama from Afar and Amitabha. You may also choose to do your personal practice. \n  \nReservations (1 week in advance) are required if you plan to join us for meals and/or need overnight accommodations. Please send an email to reservations@kagyu.com if you are joining us for meals only\, if you need assistance or have to make a reservation closer to the event. Rates for accommodations & individual meals are available on our visitor information page. \n
