DESCRIPTION:In light of the coronavirus outbreak\, to protect the well-being and safety of everyone\, Palpung Thubten Chöling Monastery remains closed to the public. \n  \nDecember 31\, Thursday (2:00 pm) | Sür\, Evening Fire Offering Ceremony\nSür (evening fire offering ceremony) is an offering to the 4 guests: the Buddhas & Bodhisattvas; Protectors; sentient beings; and those with whom we have karmic debts. It averts obstacles and sickness and is dedicated to those who are dying\, beings in the Bardo\, and to beings with whom we have karmic debts. \n  \nAlthough the monastery is closed to the public\, there are many ways to share in the merit of these activities through sponsoring meals\, fire offering ceremonies\, or the tea served during the chanting. Be sure to include a prayer with your donation which will be read aloud to the assembly. \n  \nYou may also simply mail your tax-deductible contribution to:\nPalpung Thubten Chöling\nAttn: Office\n245 Sheafe Road\, Wappingers Falls\, NY 12590. \n  \nPlease make checks payable to Palpung Thubten Choling or PTC. For credit card payments\, fax your credit card number (VISA or MasterCard only)\, along with the expiration date and signature and the amount you would like to charge to (845) 297-5761. To join us via Zoom please click here. \n7:30-8:30pm | Chenrezig Practice\nPlease join us online as we chant and meditate in order to realize our inborn great compassion.  Guru Vajradhara Tai Situ Rinpoche has said that\, “Chenrezig is the embodiment of compassion\, Bodhicitta. We reach Buddhahood intentionally\, and the intention is Bodhicitta. That is what Chenrezig represents. The Chenrezig Sadhana is the most sacred and profound sadhana. By practicing it with awareness\, you can attain Chenrezig’s enlightened body\, speech\, and mind.” \nThe liturgy is being screen shared. It is translated as well as written phonetically.
