DESCRIPTION:In light of concerns about the coronavirus outbreak\, to protect the well-being and safety of everyone\, Palpung Thubten Chöling Monastery remains closed to the public. \nJoin us on-line as we celebrate the shortest day of the year\, welcome the returning light\, assuage obstacles and karmic debt\, and pray for all those who have passed. \nThis session is being offered remotely on Zoom. If you would like to participate please email Lama Lhadrun. \n  \n4:00 pm  | Chanting Chenrezig Sadhana and Evening Fire Ceremony \n  \nWe chant and meditate on Chenrezig in order to realize our inborn great compassion. Guru Vajradhara Tai Situ Rinpoche has said that\, “Chenrezig is the embodiment of compassion\, Bodhicitta. We reach Buddhahood intentionally\, and the intention is Bodhicitta. That is what Chenrezig represents. The Chenrezig Sadhana is the most sacred and profound sadhana. By practicing it with awareness\, you can attain Chenrezig’s enlightened body\, speech\, and mind.” \nSür (evening fire offering ceremony) is an offering to the 4 guests: the Buddhas & Bodhisattvas; Protectors; sentient beings; and those with whom we have karmic debts.
