SUMMARY:World Cleansing Smoke Offering (Dzamling Chisang)
DESCRIPTION:On this full moon day we will honor a vast mandala of local deities and protectors with a traditional morning fire ceremony (Sang) to bring renewed balance and energy to the world. \nThe Maitreya Shrine Room will be open to the public for this event. \nYou may also view this practice remotely. For information on how to join us via ZOOM\, please click here. \n  \nIMPORTANT INFORMATION \nIf you feel unwell and/or have a fever\, please do not visit the monastery.\nTea will be served only to the monks and nuns. Guests are invited to bring their own thermoses of water or tea from home. \nAll other areas of the Maitreya Center as well as all other buildings remain closed until further notice\, including dining rooms; and no overnight accommodations are available. \nGuests are welcome to bring lunch to eat outdoors on the grounds\, or to enjoy our many local restaurants.\nWhile outdoors\, please be mindful of ticks\, and we strongly advise checking your body and clothing for ticks after your visit. \nAll visitors are required to wear a mask indoors.\nChildren 12 years old and younger must be supervised.\nNo pets please. \n  \nSPONSORSHIP \nFor those who wish to sponsor the chanting or tea served during the chanting\, please be sure to include a prayer with your donation which will be read aloud to the assembly. \nYou can your donations on-line or simply mail your tax-deductible contribution to: \n  \nPalpung Thubten Chöling\nAttn: Office\n245 Sheafe Road\, Wappingers Falls\, NY 12590. \n  \nPlease make checks payable to Palpung Thubten Choling or PTC.
