This is followed by the short liturgy of Shitro (Peaceful and Wrathful Deities)\, a profound practice from the cycle of teachings and meditations of the Tibetan Book of the Dead. We dedicate this practice to the deceased in order to purify negativities\, avert obstacles in the bardo\, and establish a connection with the deities that will ripen in future lives. \n  \nIf you would like to participate via Zoom please use our online event registration form.  To join the chanting please download Kalu Rinpoche’s Practice of Aspiration Prayers (Monlam Choga) \n  \nMonday\, Tuesday\, Wednesday and Thursday night classes will continue on Zoom only. This practice\, which involves the offerings of 100 tsa-tsas\, 100 butterlamps\, 100 tormas\, 100 chambu (effigies)\, is a means to purify obstacles created by the four maras (mental afflictions\, attachment to happiness\, clinging to the five skandhas\, death). \n\nTo participate via Zoom please click here. \n  \nFor those who wish to sponsor the chanting\, donations can be made toward meals and the tea served during the chanting. General contributions toward these special practices are also welcome. Sherab Nyingpo is an obstacle-averting practice that dispels unfavorable circumstances and promotes good conditions. The Heart Sutra is recited repeatedly as a means to purify obstacles created by the four maras (mental afflictions\, attachment to happiness\, clinging to the five skandhas\, death).
