DESCRIPTION:Losar (Tibetan New Year) Schedule 2022\n  \nWe are pleased to announce that the Maitreya Shrine Room will be open to visitors beginning Losar Day\, March 3. Visitors are required to wear masks. Please note that the dining room and accommodations remain closed to the public. \n  \nThe resident sangha of PTC will be participating in a variety of chanting events to dispel obstacles and bring about auspicious conditions.  The dates are listed below. \n  \nFebruary 27\, 28 & March 1 (Sunday\, Monday & Tuesday) \n9:30 am | Mahakala Chanting (Tsendring\, the extended version of the Protector Bernachen practice) \n  \nMarch 2 (Wednesday) \n3:30 pm | Ritual to Reverse Impending Death (Chiblu) inserted inside our daily Mahakala chanting. \n  \nMarch 3 (Thursday)| Losar Day – First Day of the Tibetan New Year \n5:30 am | Welcome in the New Year with the traditional playing of instruments\n6:00 am | Morning Fire Offering (Sang)\n9:00 am | Lighting of 500 Butterlamps\n9:30 am | Prayers for long life and auspicious conditions for the new year. \n  \nHOW TO PARTICIPATE FROM HOME\nTo join us via Zoom please click here. \n  \nFor those who wish to sponsor the chanting\, donations can be made towards meals\, fire offering ceremonies\, or the tea served during the chanting.
