Please see details below for how you can still share in the merit! \n  \nBuddhahood is the state in which one spontaneously and effortlessly benefits oneself and all beings without exception. In order to attain this state\, we must perfect the accumulations of merit and wisdom. Through the perfection of the two accumulations\, we purify our notions of self and other and realize the true nature of mind. \nBelow is a schedule of the days events\, many of which you can participate in remotely. For information on how to join us via ZOOM\, please click here. \n9:30 am | Lighting of 500 butterlamps  (no Zoom)\n10:00 am| Blessing of Shrine – flowers\, fruit\, e-candles\n11:00 am| Chanting of Chenrezig and Green Tara sadhanas\nChenrezig is the deity who embodies the compassion of all Buddhas. Green Tara\, often referred to as “The Mother of Liberation\,” is known for her swift activity in dispelling fears\, obstacles and illness.\nNoon| Lunch\n1:30 pm| Animal Liberation through Fish Release (no Zoom)\n2:30 pm| Sür\, Evening Fire Offering Ceremony\nSür (evening fire offering ceremony) is an offering to the 4 guests: the Buddhas & Bodhisattvas; Protectors; sentient beings; and those with whom we have karmic debts. It averts obstacles and sickness and is dedicated to those who are dying\, beings in the Bardo\, and to beings with whom we have karmic debts.\nDusk | Lighting of 500 butter lamps and chanting of Butterlamp Aspiration prayer (no Zoom) \n  \nAlthough the monastery is closed to the public\, there are many ways to share in the merit of these activities through the offering of butter lamps\, sponsoring the chanting\, the tea served during the chanting\, lunch and the fire ceremony. You may also sponsor the saving of life (animal liberation) through fish release for family or friends for their good health and long life. \nYou may also simply mail your tax-deductible contribution to: \nPalpung Thubten Chöling\nAttn: Office\n245 Sheafe Road\, Wappingers Falls\, NY 12590. \nPlease make checks payable to Palpung Thubten Choling or PTC.
