DESCRIPTION:Please join us in celebration of the New Year of the Wood Dragon! \n\nJoin us in person and on Zoom.   If you would like to participate remotely\, please click here by February 9. \n\n5:30 am | Welcome in the New Year with the traditional playing of instruments\n \n9:30 am |  \n\nLighting of 500 Butterlamps\nBathing of the Buddha Ceremony\nIncense Offering\n\n10:00 am | \n\n\nWhite Mahakala – chanting practice for longevity\, good health and prosperity\nFire Offering (Sang) – purification practice offering to all worldly gods and the 4 guests: Buddhas & Bodhisattvas; Protectors; sentient beings; and those with whom we have karmic debts. This practice pacifies war\, encourages peace and averts sickness.\nMarme Monlam  – lamp offering aspiration prayer\nLunch\n\n  \nFor those who wish to sponsor the chanting\, donations can be made towards meals\, fire ceremonies or the tea served during the chanting. General contributions towards these special practices are also welcome. Be sure to include a prayer with your donation which will be read aloud to the assembly. \nYou may donate any amount and provide us with the names for dedication (both living and deceased).  To make these dedications\, download the donation form in Chinese and English. \nYou may make your donations on-line or simply mail your tax-deductible contribution to: \nPalpung Thubten Chöling\nAttn: Office\n245 Sheafe Road\, Wappingers Falls\, NY 12590. \nPlease make checks payable to Palpung Thubten Choling or PTC. \nAs we are not able to check email during chanting events\, please send your prayer request and sponsorship information 48 hours before the first day of chanting to guarantee that we receive it in time to announce your prayer.
