We are pleased to welcome Chonyi Rinpoche at Palpung Thubten Choling November 5–6. Chonyi Gyamtso Rinpoche was born in Yunnan province in 1978. He was recognized as the 14th tulku of Orgyen Lungzin Chonyi Gyamtso by Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa in 2003. Rinpoche travels the world teaching the Buddhadharma. While keeping to traditional dharma topics, Rinpoche uses modern colloquial language, examples from daily life, and humor in his own refreshing presentation of the dharma. Rinpoche will teach in Chinese and there will be translation from Chinese to English.

10:00 am | The Mahamudra Lineage Prayer: Teaching on the Dorje Chang Tungma
This profound short prayer to the Kagyu lineage is traditionally recited before meditation sessions and conveys the core practices of the Mahamudra path.
2:00 pm | Chanting Chöd–Cutting Through the Illusion of Ego
Chonyi Rinpoche will lead the melodic chanting of this profound practice. Traditionally practiced in charnel grounds by wandering yogis, Chöd is a sacred meditation that dissolves fear and ego-clinging into the expanse of luminous awareness.
Sunday Nov 6:
10:00 am | White Tara Empowerment
White Tara is a fully enlightened buddha associated with long life, healing, and protection. Chonyi Rinpoche has received special lineage teachings and empowerments on the White Tara practice and has a deep connection with White Tara.
Please note that the White Tara Empowerment will not be available on Zoom
2:00 pm | Sur Fire Offering
All are welcome to bring the names of both deceased and living individuals to submit for prayers.
The Sur fire offering averts obstacles and sickness and is especially dedicated to the deceased, to beings in the bardo, and to beings with whom we have karmic debts.
Session fees are by donation. Accommodations are closed.
