The observance of Buddha’s Joyful Day on the full moon day of the seventh lunar month is based on the story of Maudgalyayana, a disciple of the Buddha. Buddha’s Joyful Day is observed by making offerings of necessities to monastics, reciting sūtras and performing acts of generosity.
The resident sangha of PTC will be commemorating the anniversary of our root lama Dorje Chang Kalu Rinpoche's parinirvana.
And to honor all mothers (past, present, and future!) we will be chanting the short practice of Green Tara.
